Project Description:

Create a command-line based JBIG2 image decoder.
Image encoding is not required.
The decoder will accept a JBIG2 image file from disc and convert it to raw format, writing it back to disc.
The software should be written in C or C++ and be cross-platform, able to build and run on Unix and Windows system.
A set of test files can be supplied.
The specification for JBIG2 can be downloaded from http://www.jpeg.org/public/fcd14492.pdf
Some on-going support/maintenance may be required in future.

It is essential that the finished utility/source code includes no open-source software covered by licenses that could restrict commercial applications (such as the GPL license)

    I have exp in writing software code which runs on windows as wells as linux. I have worked on decoding audio and video of various formats(mpeg,wav,ogg,vorbis,speex etc).
