City map guide using Geoserver and Openlayers

Project Description:

Implementing a city guide using Geoserver as a map server, Openlayers as a web client. Few comments;
1) I have own spatial data as a shp file to be loaded PostGIS database
2) Geoserver will be used as WMS (Web Map Service) and WFS (Web Feature Service)
3) Openlayers will be used as web client
4) There should be a search function to search within spatial layers at the PostGIS database
5) Web client should be dynamic. There should be an admin panel to manage layers (display properties, styles, zoom in/out properties etc).
6) If prototype is succesfull, this is just the beginning. I need client side rich web application using some external api's like dojo api!... Also, I need some server side improvements like tile caching etc... For short, I need all the features of Google Maps but with my own data, server, client etc. But these are later...
7) This project is challenging and only for professionals!...
