Project Description:

We are a data center/cloud solutions company based in Phoenix, Arizona USA. Our clients are govt, corporate, education through to medium and small business customers in the USA. We have a team of about 6 developers, and have developed an extensive framework based on CodeIgniter 1.53 and have used this on projects since about 2006. We are considered a CI expert company. We also do some ExpressionEngine development work.

Right now we have too much work. Our existing team is overloaded, and we need to add one additional developer to our team. The right person for our team is going to have the following:

1. A true team player - we don't want any person who thinks they are elite, better than everyone, and has little or no experience on working with and respecting other people's code. This is not a good fit for a developer who thinks of themselves as a solo act and can't play well with others.

2. We need someone who lives & breathes CodeIgniter - not a generic HTML/PHP type person.
3. We need someone who understands that all databases are NOT MySQL. We use FirebirdSQL for our back-end storage, along with some Oracle, etc. Our clients are big govt bodies and its rare to find them using MySQL. We are the same. If you know Firebird, then you'd be really helpful here.
4. We are a Linux shop. Our developers run Linux on their desktops. Our servers are all CentOS. You don't have to be a Linux developer or even use Linux on your computer, but it will help.
5. You should use an IDE that can handle xDebug, and SVN. We use SVN for everything. Your code will be booked into SVN, and your updates will come from SVN. If you don't even know what SVN is, then you are NOT the right person for this gig.
6. You should have a sense of humor. We do serious work, but we also have some fun with it.
7. It would be a real advantage if you have some AJAX/Javascript and HTML5 experience - not crucial, but really helpful.

If you are a sweatshop trying to sell bodies, don't bother. We'll see right through this immediately and probably upset you with our anger for wasting our time.

We don't care where you are. The Internet is border free, and we have developers working with us from all parts of the planet. Just be aware that rates are going to be compared so be competitive.

We have anywhere from 10-15 hours per week of work, through to full-time. Its dependent upon your work quality, availability, and rate. So tell us how much work you are looking for. We may start you off with 10 hours of work and see how you go. If it works, we can increase it. If not, no foul.
