Project Description:

I am looking for an experienced drupal developers based in London or Greater London area to develop a social networking.

It would be build using drupal commons 2.0 and all the designs (psd) would be provided.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The site will be developed in different phases to expand the services that are offered to the members. The core initial functionality will be the PEOPLE section that will help us organize our membership base.

Key functionalities in this section include:

a) Member registration and submitting to committees of interest.
b) A profile view of each member.
c) A Messaging Module
d) A ‘wall’ functionality with the ability to upload media.
e) An events module
f) A live chat module (real time)
g) Integration with several social media websites
h) Content Rating Functionality (SPOT it button)
i) Registration and maintenance of user generated groups.
j) Integration with ‘Explore’ Module


Based on this requirements, the use of Drupal Commons 2.0. should fulfill 90% of the functionalities. This drupal package is currently in D6 although a new release in D7 is expected for Q2 2012.


Profiles.

Profiles will be used to model users in the platform. From a technical perspective there will be different roles linked to different users. This roles will give distinctive privileges and accesses to the users.

- Admin User: Full control of the site
- Content Manager: Core user that has rights to modify content in the site
- General User: Registered user that can Navigate the whole site
- Guest User: Unregistered user that has visibility to limited sections

Registered users will have the following attributes (compatible with RDF FOAF):

Personal info
- Name
- Family Name
- e-mail
- city
- University
- Company
- Photo
- Gender


Social Networks
- Link to Facebook

Link to twitter

Interests
- Interests (Taxonomy)
- Skills (Taxonomy)
- Areas of interest (Dropdown menu with the different committes)

Groups

Groups are a key element of the platform as they will be used to model the different AYG chapters, committees and other groups that can be created on the platform.

Any group will have the following attributes:


General Info
- Name
- Logo
- Location
- Brief Description
- Mission/Objectives
- Type of Group 1
- Type of Group 2
- Area of interest (linked to AYG committees)
- AYG chapter (Y/N)
- AYG committee (Y/N)

Groups will have members, followers, and leadership team. From this perspective, user will have roles in relation to specific Groups.
