I've been involved in cryptozoology for over 20 years. Occasionally run across something interesting, but there's a lot of outright baloney out there. This one I tracked down from the source after hearing someone mention it in passing, so at least I know it's not someone trying to pass off a hoax.

I hope I can do it some justice if you'd like to go further with the design. The main thing as mentioned is the head to body ratio and its positioning, then the body shape from the front. Do you get a lot of sightings sent to you? I tend to keep an eye on youtube for interesting things like this!

Yeah, this is probably close. (I'm assuming.) Tail may be closer in width as the original (as she didn't mention anything unusual in appearance). Frill-wise, yours is closest to what I was imagining. The sighting report will eventually be published in the next BioFortean Notes (coachwhipbooks.com); small bulletin I put out. There will likely be a free ebook edition. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been anything quite like it reported previously, but it's in a very remote area, so, who knows.
