I have had this logo for about 10 years, and it is only slightly modified from the logo used for a few decades before that! I feel it is a bit amateur-ish, as I did it myself and it is just a crude CAD drawing. I think the original logo was sketched decades ago in a high school study hall!
I am looking to spruce it up, modernize a bit and more importantly project a more refined and professional brand. For deliverables - would like jpg, as well as vector data provided (eps , ai seem most common, has to be compatible with what the magazines and web sites ask me for). I usually tend toward liking blues and greys, and I am looking for a simple "SCP" artistic text based logo based on the initials and maybe the name SC Precision fully spelled out below it, but not required. I have at the moment a variety of activities in this part time business so it has to be universal, and clean, simple and professional. I definitely do NOT want any cliche use of a target or anything related to the word "precision". The logo is being updated to coincide with the release of some new off road motorcycle racing (motocross) products, but I do not necessarily want anything motocross or motorcycle related tied in with the logo. Again, just a serious, clean look. Backup plan is to just continue with the same logo, but became very interested to see what could happen on Freelancer after seeing some of the incredible logos done here.

It needs to be scalable, as I plan to have graphics kits on sponsored motocross racers bikes, business cards, and replace the logo on my invoices, etc. Also could be scaled up larger for banners or incorporated into a trailer wrap.
Have some fun with it and show us some cool creative ideas and I would look forward to continuing with other projects as well. Look forward to seeing what this contest can bring.

Contestants, keep an eye on the spelling. And also the "SCP", should not be very difficult to "see". Just a general note, for new entries as I have mentioned this privately to existing submissions. Thanks again, the work is so great! I may have to buy some more designs than only the winner.
