After reviewing your feedback, I decided to make a few more alterations, so I decided to go with a sphere theme, still with the flags incorporated in the bottom. Then I added some shadows to the hands, and made the HTTC stand out by adding colour and a deep shadow also. I think this looks cleaner than before.

thanks Daniel. does it need to stand out a little more maybe - perhaps a black border - it needs something I think, but i dont know what
