竞赛简介

I am seeking an experienced interior designer to help me with the design of my contemporary residential villa.
Since the house is already build the focus is on the interior design layout, including room positioning and other changes that can be done as part of the house renovation
It is possible to break walls, extend the house and do make some changes to the layout, with that, need to be logical, the good is to on-go renovation not to re-build the house
The requirements are very specific, as detailed here below, and as such, each submission will be considered only if fits the requirements.

General Expectations:

- The ideal designer should have a strong understanding of contemporary design principles and be able to create a stylish and modern look for my home.
- The space is quite large, with an approximate square footage of about 400m2, so the designer should have experience working with larger spaces.
- The designer should have a keen eye for detail and be able to create a cohesive design that flows seamlessly throughout the entire space.

Required submission to participate & Win:

- Submit detailed floor plans of the entire built area, focusing on the room placement, defined where each room will be positioned, room sizes, internal partitions and interior design layout referring the main furniture items
- Submission can be 2D, 3D or even hand sketch, the focus is on the exact layout and interior design positioning of all key furniture items

Contest winner will be chosen as per these criteria:

The person who submitted the best design when considering:
- The floors plans are functional, efficient and logical
- Visual benefits of the submitted design
- The design respects the contest and project requirements and specification

Prize: 250 USD

Add-on Services:

Once the winner is chosen the floor plans are confirmed we will offer the winner the option to continue and provide a complete interior design of the house:
- 2000 USD contract to provide the interior design all rooms, including all design elements including furniture, lights, wall decorations, panel, kitchen etc
Such design plan will include full rendering (3D) of the interior design of all the rooms and spaces, including specification of all furniture items and design elements with colors, materials and textures

Project Overview:

- We wish to renovate our villa, it is over 400m2 in size on a land of 2000m2.
- The current design of the house is old and we really like modern and contemporary design
- We have 4 children, 1 girl age 3 and 3 boys ages 9, 11, 14.
- We want to have a great family home for our family with plenty of spaces for the kids and family to spend time together
- For each child we would wish to have own bedroom (4 bedrooms) + master bedroom for the parents
- We are ready for a big renovation and open to any ideas to change the look and feel of the house
- The goal is to have a modern designed family home and utilizing the spaces better
- There are few spaces in the house that are not utilized at all and badly planned and it is clear that we need to drastically change the house layout, break walls and add new spaces
- The current house layout missing some rooms such as additional bedrooms, gym room among other (complete list is detailed below), these rooms are to be included in the house layout
- These new rooms can replace existing rooms / spaces not utilized in the house, or by splitting existing large spaces into smaller spaces or by extending some rooms and breaking walls
- Our renovation budget is of about 100,000 - 140,000 USD and this should include all construction works, fitting, paint works, furniture and decoration

    As per me it is a good option, as it involved minimal wall breaking and big changes, yet again, offer a brand new look to the house which is quite functional. So on your side, you can propose any of your own ideas or, look at the above one and see how you can take this idea and improve it further... again, my focus is the end result = best possible layout.

      Dear Contest Holder, you have gave us great feedback from the functional point of view. I need to know where the bathroom near to the fourth bedroom have access? From the outside (terrace) or between bedroom 4 and 5?

      It is possible to remove the garage - it s even required.
      Also, for bedrooms 4 and 5, the bathroom should be accessible from inside the house - it is up to you to plan the layout so to allow easy access from both rooms to the bathroom. thanks

    i checked all the entries so far. some are better and some less. as mentioned in the specification file, the goal is not to change the entire house layout and shift all the rooms, break numerous walls etc. I see some design simply ignores the existing rooms and as such propose a design that will cost fortune; basically breaking many walls, shifting the bathrooms, kitchen etc. Do consider logically and efficient solutions. efficient is how with minimal changes and with max cost savings you can achieve best results.

      i wrote on the specification file. better to cancel the garage. instead we plan to have a covered parking outside in the garden area. So the current garage area can be used as rooms.

      I didnt think about changing the guest toilet and the bathroom beside it. With that, as mentioned, I am open for any ideas and suggestions to change. Do consider cost vs. value. So surely need to have logic for such change.
