October is both Pit Bull Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness month. I would like to combine these two causes into one t-shirt and hoodie design. The goal of the design is to be fun, happy, cute, and most importantly making one want to adopt a pit bull. A sexy look is within the bounds too.
I was thinking of two different types of design, to give you a choice of which one you’d like to choose from.
1) Two cute pit bull puppies, (with the natural floppy ears a must), playfully playing tug of war with a pink bra. As far as the tug of war, I don’t want the bra stretched so it’s unrecognizable, but rather loose hanging bra between two cute puppies. You may take liberties to try it with just one pit bull too, without the tug of war.
2) I have even considered a pinup girl losing her bra to a pit bull dog, like the Coppertone little girl with the dog pulling down her swim suit in the old time ads. Maybe with the pinup girl resembling Rosie the Riveter, but sexy?
With either design, I’d like the wording “save the puppies”, and maybe “pits for tits”. Even “Bullies for Boobies” is an option. I am open to other suggestions too.
Preferably, I’d like the design to be realistic with detail, and not too cartoonish, please. Along the vintage lines would be an added bonus!
I’d like it to be two colors (white and pink), but this is not a requirement. If your design looks good with lots of colors, go for it!
I want original creations. No designs, or parts of, that I would have to license with a stock site. I am a designer, so I do know how to verify your work, and will do so. I do not mind the use of public domain images incorporated into the design.
Only one entry per each different design, with as many slides as you’d like. I don’t want to see the same design repeated on lots of separate entries. No fear, I will look at all of the slides submitted with each entry.
I would like the final file to be layered in PSD format, at a minimum 12 inches wide by 18 inches high with 300 DPI.
Also, the font(s) used in the design will be required to be submitted as part of the entry at the turnover stage, by the winner.
Do not ask or comment to “guarantee” or “seal” this contest. I am not going to guarantee a contest, in the case I do not get any entries I like. As far as sealing the contest, if you don’t want others to see your entry, you may seal it yourself. I want others to know what type of entries I do like, so as they know what direction to go. Besides, I refuse to decrease the prize amount by $30 to cover a “sealed” fee cost.
I want to thank everyone in advance for your hard work and creativity. I know sometimes it’s discouraging to work so hard at an entry and then be rejected.
So you don’t waste your time, I’m not looking for mediocre work. I want this design to knock the socks off of all the other designs on the market. Really, if you don’t “feel” it, this contest most likely isn’t for you and you should skip it.
I am hoping to have the winner create future designs for pit bull niche shirts too.
I'm sorry I can’t afford much with this first contest, but as I make sales, I will in turn increase the prize(s).
I know this is a lot of details, but I would like to eliminate as many questions of clarification as possible, so more time can be devoted to creativity and art.
Attached are examples of some different aspects I like, but are NOT to be copied. One is to show a “cute” little puppy and an example of a design, the next one is to show the realistic detail in a dog I really like, and one is to show a bra and its’ great detail, including the roses.
This will be a short contest, lasting only for the weekend. I will not end the contest early and do not want to extend it. Time is of the essence to get this onto a shirt. For, I need to have an ad ready to go and posted on Facebook/Instagram by Tuesday PM.
