竞赛简介

Hi, we’re a team of game development specialists looking to fix the faults in the current monetization models on an industry-wide scale. Ultimately, our goal is to build a community-powered project that makes gamers own and maintain an always-valuable library of in-game assets.

It consists out of two basic things: a monetization protocol and a currency. It is not a referral network but a protocol that enables cross-game item trading. The currency is unified, making it just as good in an arcade browser game as in any MMORPG.

Who do we do this? Simple:
1. To empower gamers to trade in-game items for real, you know, like real-world things that cost money.
2. Erase the tie to the particular game server: you paid money for a thing, it is yours now. No one should be able to just delete it over time.

We are avid gamers ourselves and we know that it’s time for a free trade of items. We are all tired of loot boxes with improvable math and low chances for high-end items. We, just as you, want to invest our time in gaming to have concrete achievements and leaderboards.

If you have never experienced the pain of getting 5 sealed crates in PUBG in a row or never tried upgrading your Compendium in DOTA 2 it’ll be hard to understand the pain. But, it’s a huge market, and the gamer to developer relations are kind of broken right now.

AAs an example, we can give you: Protocol name – Alchemy, Currency – Gold (Aren’t we original). But that’s the thing, we would like you to come up with something cool as a community, so we build it together. It’ll be best to have the naming as one word (marketing reasons).

Some tags to help you: Gaming 2.0, gaming freedom, gamer-developer relations, community-powered gamedev, free trade. We will review the entries daily and pick a winner after a week.

We'll keep you posted on the development!

Unfortunately, some contest holders use this tactic now: host a contest, don't rate a single entry, don't award a winner, and wait for the contest to run its course.

We freelancers work for nothing, and they're free to use our work (or not). We'll never know.

The most we can do is withdraw our entries once it's clear the contest holder has no intention of rating any entries or awarding any.

If it were just a question of not liking any entry submitted, they would leave feedback saying so.

If the excuse is that they simply forgot to rate entries (or give feedback, or award), no competent business person or adult simply forgets about something they're offering to pay for for an entire month.

If it's a question of an emergency of some kind preventing them from logging in and reaching out to us, then that is understandable, of course. The chances of that being the cause, however, are extremely low.

I withdrew my entry weeks ago for this contest. It's all I can do.
