We have a JAVA program we convert to an EXE with jsmooth. The program that was built in java 1.8, it works fine in that version with the JRE, but we are finding people with HIGH DPI screens it does not work unless you have jave 9 or 11. Problem is java 9 and 11 do not have jre, and I have not i have not figured out how to package JRE with it that fixes this. There is another java program called Launch4j but that does not look like it supports java 9 or 11 either. The second part of this project is I need to convert the java to a mac app with java 9 as well, but I will worry about later.

a long time user of launch4j () and recently wanted to start signing the exe's produced with launch4j (wrapping a java jar), but this does not work. This is a known issue: h...solve this. We are an all Java company and don't have any serious C/C++ skills to address ourselfs, so we are looking for someone who can solve this for us. As its opensouce it would have our preference to have the working solution also be delivered to the opensource project, to have it intergrated in there. (and the referenced issue closed) There is another opensource project called "jsmooth" which does allow signing exe (wrapping a java jar), but it produces 32bit executables only. (just referencing this as indication its technically feasable todo)
...have nearly finished the Java Desktop application. It runs in my Netbeans IDE 6.8. Previously, I would have the program reference image button icons (.jpg) from an absolute path to a folder that I manually created in the same directory. However, to use the distribution freeware (JSmooth) I can find, there is no way to add manually add separate folders, all code and resources must be in the same .jar file. If I do not require the images (i.e. try cleaning/building with a dummy url to a website's picture), JSmooth can make a single downloadable icon (with a icon image of my choice), and launch the program from it. This is what I want, since users generally do not like to download a .zip containing .jar and images folder, and then click .jar from within the folder...

I ALREADY HAVE AN EXAMPLE, BUT IT DOWNLOADS THE JRE FROM SUN'S SITE, WHICH PROMPTS FOR GOOGLE DESKTOP AND GOOGLE TOOLBAR DURING THE INSTALLATION. I need an example, which DOES NOT prompt for Google Desktop or Google ToolBar during installation. I am okay with either of the two solution: 1.
