Mortimer, The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England number of pages required: 10-12 pages one day you are a Florida Institute of Technology student, the next day you find yourself transported back yo a city or village somewhere in the ancient Rome. what are you doing there? what sort of job do you hold? you could be anything from a salve, to a student, to a solider, but make sure your job is appropriate to your age (am 22 years old) and your sex (am female). using the assigned readings, write about what happens to you during the day or so that you are stuck in the past. you then find yourself shifting to Dark Ages Europe, and again to the period of the Magna Carta in Britain, describing the changed in circumstances during these later times period. question to think about while writing your essay include: what exactly your job? how do you earn a living? what is your daily life like (for example, what do you wear, what do you eat, where do you sleep)? what problems do you face? is your life exciting? does anything important happen during your stay? there are dozen of other questions you could ask yourself to complete this assignment. you should finish your essay with a return to the present and a summation of what you learned during your stay in the past. Use the books listed above as inspiration and as excellent sources for ideas, but under no circumstances are you to simply copy from the book. Be creative and be thoughtful. This is not simply a speculative fiction piece, but an attempted by you to show me that you have some historical understanding of what life was like during the ancient roman empire, the early middle ages and the changes that may or may not have occurred by the time of the middle ages.
