Instructions: 1. Find two or three manufacturing companies in the Al Ain or the UAE area. 2. Get a letter of introduction from the Student Advisory. Send it to the first company, if the company accepts then there is no need for the other companies. Otherwise, you should go to the second company. 3. Prepare a project report on the company: 4. Part A: Background of the company, for example, nature of business, when the company started their business, who are the owners of the company, and some financial information (if available-not in detail- Sales, Cost and Profit are sufficient) 5. Part B: The Cost and Managerial Accounting Practices You have to go the company or by telephone interview, find out about: -Do they prepare financial and management accounting? -What costing method they use? -Types of inventories that they have? -Do they prepare the Cost of Goods Manufactured statement? -How they get their raw materials? -and any other relevant information The structure of the report: 1. It must be printed, 18 to 20 pages, double spacing. Font 12 Times New Roman or Ariel. 2. Margin: Left/Right/Top/Bottom – 1”, reference must be cited where applicable 3. All members name and ID. 4.
