Corporate/Professional Content Writer/Editor, Min 25 hours/week ongoing

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This job will have two main components plus potential extra duties as they arise.

Re-writing Web Copy, PRs, Blogs:

This is the bulk of the workload. Baseline content and source material will be provided for every part of the project, NO RESEARCH IS REQUIRED. As such, it is largely about re-writing existing content. All writing is work for hire and as such, all rights to content transfer to me upon completion.

IMPORTANT: Content is in corporate professional style and requires a high level of excellence. You must be able to write cohesively, coherently, and professionally. Sample sites can be provided in a private message.

NOTE: Re-writing of this content is highly repetitive. Candidate must be comfortable with and creative enough to deliver quality content with ease within strict writing guideline parameters.

Editing Web Copy, PRs, Blogs:

There is a large volume of work with this project and it continues to grow. As time progresses, it would be preferable for the winning candidate to sub-contract some of the writing to others in order to be able to handle the volume. This will require the candidate to edit and ensure all content is up to specifications.

Potential Extra Duties:

In addition to the re-writing project, there may be other writing/editing projects required of the individual.

NON-NEGOTIABLE SKILLS

- Must demonstrate impeccable English skills (grammar and spelling) the first time every time - no re-writes permitted

- Must provide consistent, flawless formatting and layout in MS Word

- Must be able to follow instructions to the letter without a lot of hand holding

- Must be able to use Basecamp for project coordination

- Must be able to produce re-written content at a rate of approximately 800-1,000 words/hour minimum

- Must communicate and deliver on time

SCHEDULE AND WORKFLOW

Candidate must be willing to work within the following guidelines:

- During normal business hours (time zone MST), Monday through Friday.

- To start (after writing tests have been completed), the candidate will be asked to work a minimum of 25 hours/week, with increases to time requirements as job expands up to full time.

- This is a telecommuting job – candidate must provide their own equipment, internet connection, etc.

- Work to start immediately upon successful completion of writing tests.
