Hi Josh, I am a licensed Texas architect, also registered in Israel. I would be happy to provide plans for your renovation. Typically I create a 3d model to accurate dimensions in SketchUp (there is a free version available) to see visualizations of the project. All 2d plans I create from this model. It is much more accurate, less problems are encountered in construction, and is just as fast as trying to create only 2d drawings. Please contact me to discuss, Thanks, Jim

Hi Josh, thanks for the invitation would be great if I could help you with your home improvements. We use a workflow that include a 3d model to plan and study the building, then we use this same 3d model to get the drawings and since this come from a single file all the drawings are coordinated. The additional advantage of this system is that if you request a change we make the adjustments on the 3d model and the drawings will be syncronized almost automatically. With my bid I can include the floorplans, elevations and some views in 3d to better explain your ideas to your contractors. We could also display the 3d views as phases. Currently I'm on the move and don't have access to my files but if you want to see a project with this system please let me know and I'll show you as soon as I return home. I worked as a structural design engineer since 2003 and I have designed a lot of buildings, bridges and high-risk buildings and also prepare their design calculations. I am an Architect, i have 6 years experience drawing in AutoCad most of the projects are residencial houses starting from a sketch in paper, i'm very familiar with the representation of elevations, sections, floor plans, details, QOB and i also know how to draw mechanical guides. For 3d modelling i use Revit 2014, i have been working with Revit for 4 years now, i can do a several perspective representations, rendering, walkthoughts, QOB, interior and ilumination designs.
