C++ App to File > Open ...an Access .mdb database
Extract data into 10x tables. Save as .csv files in specified formats.
Each output file should be the table [login to view URL] - such as [login to view URL]
## Deliverables
The database files have a custom extension of .fdb but are actually .mdb files, or can otherwise by opened in Access. They are stored in an Access 95 format, but can be opened in Access 2007 without conversion to the current file format. The files all share a common password (provided on request)
From this database, the following tables need to be written as separate .csv files. The user should be prompted for a file folder path to save the files, with default file path being the same as the database being input.
A sample .fdb file (attached) is provided for conversion.
The most important table required is the Class list table - shown last in this spec, and this table is one where the mapping is not quite clear - however we have listed a likely mapping at least.
The aim is to generate unique class codes for each class, and ensure these are identified in the timetable (Allocation table) and that these map to the Class lists, such that each student is linked to their classes, but also the timetable for these classes.
App is Windows OS. Can be Console, not GUI. VS2005 or 2008. Prefer C++ as we may want to integrate code with our existing app. Prefer code to operate standalone, so no reliance on MS Access being present in the system.
