Hi, this is an interesting project. This is what I understood by looking at your description : You want to make threads for each cell, compute the state of the threads, aggregate the data using MPI, update the data and run again. I have few questions: 1. How do you want the patterns to be logged? Do you only want the final result, or all the intermediate patterns to be logged into some format? (A file maybe?) 2. When do you want to stop? What do you want to do in case of an oscillatory pattern for an example? Do you want to put some checks for still patterns? Can you please give the specifics? - Harsh.
