The united states bank system uses the last few years electric clearing of checks called check 21, the way banks send their Check images to the federal reserve and to other banks is with a special file format called x9.37. when the end user uses his scanner to scan checks to the banks as many banks offer today, its simply changed to this type of format and submitted to the federal reserve for clearing. we scan hundred's of checks each day and have in our database all information of the check, the amount, date, ABA routing and account #, check #, and a tiff image of the check, instead of needing to scan it again in the banks remote deposit system, we want to compile these checks in the x937 file format and ftp to our bank.
Below you will find information of how this checks needs to be done, a sample file from my bank and a viewer link to view that file. what I need from you is the ENCODING code to compile the data to this file format, I will finish the remaining part to pull the data from the Db and will submit to the ftp of the bank.
