compile existing C++ source into a working program

I need software installed for which a source can be downloaded from github. The source should be compilable by g++ under Windows; the only additional requirement is inclusion of ImageMagick library. I would like for this to be delivered on a virtual machine (e.i. oracle virtualbox). I can send you a clean copy, but you can also download one for free from microsoft. My preference is win 7.
I tried to do this myself, but got stuck on some compilation errors (that have to do with the settings, not the actual source), and don't have time to dechiper it. Any competent C++ programmer should be able to do this in less than an hour
