Hello Freelancers!
This is the 3rd or 4th year I have run this project here.
In order not to waste my time or yours, please ensure you meet the following prerequisites before bidding:
* English is either your first language or you are fluent.
* You have access to and are comfortable using Photoshop. Not Corel Draw, not Gimp, not PaintShop Pro. PHOTOSHOP, a recent version.
* You have immaculate attention to detail.
* You can commit to doing the job within your stated timeframe (150 products per the below). The clock will start ticking 24 hours after you receive the detailed instructions.
The job is access a series of online websites for a number of brands. You will cut & paste, or manually type the details of each product into an Excel file. You will also obtain, crop and rotate an image to match the product. Attention to every aspect of the specification is the most important element of this job. In the past we have had a lot of problems with poor quality work and it takes us and you longer to correct it.
There are a number of different brands, and each brand has a different number of products - an average about about 15 products per brand -- some have 4 products, some have 30.
Your bid will be for a projected 175 products in total, but if there are more we will pay you the relevant amount per product based on a per product price derived from your bid and the 175 original products. For example, if your bid is is $0.10 per product, but if you do 200 products, we will pay you extra 25 * $0.10. The time frame you state will apply to the first 175 only. if there are less than $175, you will still be paid for 175 products (i.e. what you bid).
The first step : We will supply you with an Excel template, and depending on the data there may be 10 data points to copy. For the majority, it will be a simple copy and paste. For each brand you will add each product, pasting the details into a single worksheet per brand, completing the title and a few other options for each product. As an example, you would need to copy the product title, the manufacturers description, copy the physical dimensions of a product for each size available into a matrix. E.g. there may be 3 lengths for the product, 100, 150 and 200cm, and each will have a corresponding radius in m, and some physical dimensions:
As an example the below has 9 different data points.
100 | 19 | 134-456-309
150 | 21 | 133-448-323
200 | 23 | 134-450-367
The second step : You will also need to process an image of each product, saving it form the website or alternative location, cropping it based on our specification for width etc and exporting it using Photoshop's "Save for Web" feature. We'll supply Photoshop output settings to use.
We require the selected team to process 2 or 3 products beforehand to ensure that the brief is understood.
When bidding, post your amount, the amount of days, and whether you are familiar with skiing products.
We need the job completed ASAP.
We only need, mens & womens products, NOT junior, childrens or rental products, so you'll need to ensure you identify these.
We will supply detailed instructions to the winner, but the above should be sufficient for bids.
Thanks!

Depending on the required quality of output image and how easily it can be extracted from website I would say it's a 2 to 3 days job.
I suppose you are building a product database for online store, so the most time consuming task is proper image processing.
I'm perfect for this job. An experienced designer, as well as a snowsports enthusiast. Skiing, snowboarding, you name it. I've also got lots of experience working with Excel.
Can crank these out for you in a couple day's time, and able to start work immediately.
By my understanding, I would datamine the source pages and images all at once and then I would convert the source data to an excel spreadsheet. The I would process a batch of images in photoshop.
If this is the job, lets talk!
