Project Term

Project will be on-going throughout the duration of the company's life. The position is on a full-time basis and metrics are in place to measure productivity level. Hired candidate will be paid weekly based on the negotiated rate.

Project Summary

Junior developer responsible for maintaining data integrity of existing sites being scraped as well as setting up additional new sites to be scraped. Developer will have reports emailed to them regarding the results of scraping. They will read and interpret the results of the email report and if necessary modify the existing regular expression (used by the robot to scrape the site) to be result inclusive.

Overview

Company employs the use of a scraper to obtain and extract specific pieces of information from niche, NEW car websites. Scraper cycles through website definitions, looks for pages that it has defined as directory pages in order to extract item pages. It then navigates to the item pages and extracts the required data in order to construct a Listing object.

Test

Candidates need to demonstrate an understanding of Regular Expressions by taking the attached test. Please see attached for instructions.
