Actuarial Analyst for General Insurance Premium Rating

THE PROJECT The project involves setting premiums for a range of general insurance covers. It starts early December 2014 and most of your work will be completed by mid to late January 2015. Depending on your performance, we may then offer you repeat work every six months. You'll be working closely with our existing actuarial team, using Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and carry out calculations - and Microsoft Word to draft reports. Your expected weekly time commitment will be variable, up to about 30 hours per week. You will need to be available during business hours Australian Eastern Time, for phone or online meetings . YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE You have a Bachelors degree in a numerate discipline and have passed two actuarial subjects. (See details in the Position Description). Ideally you have some experience with general insurance risks. YOUR SKILLS You have advanced level Microsoft Excel and Word skills. You consistently demonstrate excellent attention to detail and your work is always technically accurate. You communicate effectively with excellent English reading and writing skills and a good standard of spoken English.
