I have a flashcard program (AS3) that can play SWFs as well as images, and I want to use it for interactive flashcards using SWFs on 1 side, and text on the other. I need to use it as part of an e-learning interface in Flex 3. Right now I cannot get it to load in Flex, it may be the XML that is the problem, as Flex doesn't seem to like SWFs with XML with config options. The answer may be to move all those options to the AS, and keep only XML nodes in the XML. I don't care if you internalize the XML - I can work with the FLA, or you can port the whole thing to Flex.
The problem is that this script loads all of the SWFs upon initializing, and all of the audio overlaps. Also, the SWFs do not replay when you visit the card again - they all play at once, upon initial load of the flashcard program. What I need:
1- I do NOT need the autoplay/slideshow function: I do not plan on using this as a slideshow - only for flashcards and they can be accessed via the buttons below the cards
2- some coding added so that the SWFs do not all load and play when the app starts, but rather load ONE by ONE as the flashcards are played. The SWF and its audio should stop when you click to flip the card and see the text, and play again when you click to see the SWF again. Adding code to the individual SWFs is NOT an option - this must be fixed in the main flashcard application.
3- I'd like the entire back of the flashcard to be clickable and not just the "back" button
4- Right now when you view this in a larger interface, such as this below:

The flashcard slider goes off the screen and you see additional images - I want the flashcard program to stay exactly within its size boundaries (612 width by 445 height) with no images overflowing in this manner.
5- You must integrate this into a Flex project - either via SWFloader, or via a Module that loads this app, or you can port all of the AS3 code to Flex and make this a custom Flex component or MXML page.
You can download the FLAs w/ my sample swfs and all source material here:
