AS3 Class creation to trace Bitmap black lines into Vectors

Hello, I have a project that dynamically creates a large bitmap graphic that contains some irregular shapes made from a single pixel black line. The bitmap will be on a transparent or white background and will only contain the lines to be traced. I’ve found some useable classes already but they don’t quite fit our secific needs, but could be a very useful starting point. [login to view URL] – this class does exactly what we need as far as input and output, but seems to output every stroke as ‘lineTo’ strokes and doesn’t use any ‘curveTo’ stroke. It’s vital that all the lines are single strokes and are as smooth but also as accurate as possible. All the shapes will be ‘closed lines’, what I mean by that is that each line shape is a complete shape with no start or end. Also non of the shapes will overlap, which may help simplify things as well. Think of it as a graphic with a collection of oddly shapped loops. I can replicate what we need by adding the bitmap to illustrator and using the live trace and pasting back into flash, it seems very consistant and very smooth create minimal lines and curves.
