hy, i would like to help you with this, i am a c/c++ developer and i can make your game using opengl libraries, (i think that is you need for graphic design), i think that something small could be something like chicken invaders. the player use arrows from keyboard to control a spaceship and use space to shoot enemies, which are other spaceships arranged on 3 or 4 lines moving from left to right and right to left. so please let me know if you are interested
