Design responsive e-mailtemplate

Beforehand When you apply for this job we would like to see a portfolio of previous work and a short resumé. Background The website with the name ‘aanbiedingplanet’ emails subscribers every day with the best daily offers they can make use of. These offers are only valid for a limited time. All kinds of products are offered with great discounts. Job description We need an excellent responsive e-mail template. Main goal of the template: conversion. People need to click on the deal depicted and make use of it. So the template needs to be attractive and inviting. Below we will give some pointers for the design: - You are to free to create your own colorscheme and logo. We currently are using the one of www.aanbiedingplanet.nl. But it’s not totally up to satisfaction. So improve if you like… - As mentioned, the email template needs to be responsive (80% of our subscribers open their e-mail on their mobile phone). We’d like to be adviced on how to handle the Gmail app on Android and Iphone because this doesn’t support media queries (and so have difficulty with responsive design). - Keep the width of the overall template to under 700 pixels - For mobile devices, design to a width of 320 pixels - Try to keep the most important deals above the 450 pixel line so they're initially presented to the user without them needing to scroll down. - In email, the concept of "less is more" is important. The less content an email has, the more the user will interact with it. We like a crisp and clean template. - Use the screen estate so we will keep the white space to a minimum. - We need clear call-to-actions. Behind the CTA a link will be placed so people will be redirected to the deal when they click on it. - In the responsive version, have the deals stack on top of each other instead of trying to fit them into columns. - When you develop the new design, make sure to test it across all email clients and devices to make sure it works and renders correctly. Count on having issues in Outlook 2007-2013. Some information about the content of the e-mail: - We need a preheader for the email. - In the header of the email, or above, we need to have a display email button, a report spam button and an unsubscribe button. - We will offer a maximum of 5 daily deals with a top offer displayed above the 450px line. - Every deal will show: o An image with a maximum size of 454px x 304px. o A title o A discount, which we choose from 2 formats:  With low priced products we will show a discount percentage  With high value products we will show minimum price (the price after discount) and a maximum price (price before discount). [To be clear, we will only show one of 2 options per deal] o A link (usually placed behind button of CTA) o The duration of the offer - The footer of the email will have the opportunity to advertise for other labels we own and we would like to have members for.
