Blog Masthead and Logo Design

I am seeking an experienced graphic designer (not a production artist) who can think out the box and produce a creative masthead and logo for my new blog. I am looking for an illustration (with inspiration drawn from the attached image) that is fun, fresh, easy on the eyes and scalable for use in other applications (Facebook, etc). The logo in my mind is really stylized type that should be detachable from the illustration for use in Letterhead, business cards, etc. The Blog has to do with parents and children trying to make it on Broadway and on the Big Screen. The illustration might incorporate significant symbols of the business such as the Hollywood Signs, Broadway Marquis, Casting Studios, Wardrobe signs, make up signs, spotlights, stars etc. (These are examples and I don't expect them all to be there.) I do like the image of a mother and child or children as portrayed in the attachéd. Mom should be very "together" and the child or children should already look like stars. The blog will be written in a light hearted, sometimes humorous, sometimes direct style...and the masthead should reflect this brand.
