DESIGNER REQUIRED FOR NEW NEWSPAPER -COULD LEAD TO FULL TIME

We already run a popular newspaper on the island of Malta. We are now starting a new newspaper. We require someone to create the advertisements for our clients in the newspaper (quarter page adverts, third, half, full page etc)...

Our sales team sell the advertising space and then we take care of the design by providing you the information that our clients provide us. We forward you information in regards to how the design should look, if we receive any logos we forward all relevant detail such as this to you.

Professionalism is key! We want to work with someone who speaks good English, someone who can constantly keep us updated for job status.

You must be proficient in the use of software such as Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat pro etc.

We require the PDF saved to set standards and the original design you have created in its original file format.

We are going to pay on a per design basis. Here are some example of good designs:

Basically we require normal adverts based on client specifications that you normally see in any newspaper. The quality has to be fantastic. You must be aware of INK limits etc. With the adverts being printed on newspaper, they can't be too heavy with the ink and can't have over 240% ink coverage etc (you have to know what you are doing).

We are willing to pay 5 USD for each simple advert design, 10 USD for medium to more complex advert designs.

If it is something extremely complicated, we can talk about the price. Based on our past experience, normal adverts will take approx 2 to 3 hours to design.

When a client wants a simple modification to the design half the amount is paid.

If you require images for the design we insist that you first try the design using a copy with a watermark on it, if the design looks good and is approved by our client, we will purchase the image (after you send us the link) and send the image to you.

Adverts must be created in a good time frame and like I said before, I want to work with someone who can keep me updated and communicate clearly with good English.

This could be the beginning of a long term working relationship.

It's important to note that our first issue will be in June and advert designs will start soon but not straight after this listing ending. We will communicate accordingly for this.
