Build a Website: Treadstone

TREADSTONE WEBSITE 2015 (NEW) Our website is currently [login to view URL] and, although we are happy to generally keep to the existing layout and design, we wish to use flash coding to essentially bring the standard up to www.stonehavengroup.co.uk. General points as follows: • Our existing tabs only allow 3 photos per page and this allowance needs to be expanded. • All pages will have an information icon like Stonehaven, where the user will hover his cursor over for a text box to fade in. • There will be no scroll bars, so all text has to fit each page. • We will keep the 2 language options, but would like to have also Russian and Chinese. • The site must be designed to suite mobile phone viewing • New logo design required (more minimalist and construction-orientated, e.g. round paving stone or cube with ammonite inside) Home Page • Our Home Page needs an animation on a plain background similar to Stonehaven, potentially incorporating the following: i. the stone fades in and the ammonite grows and spirals within it ii. italic writing appears underneath: “As the ammonite grew, a new chamber was added to the whorl of the shell. These artistic houses of Nature represent the stable growth and secured establishment of our property work.” iii. both the logo and text animation complete at the same time iv. the company name “Treadstone” fades in with “Chartered Project Management” underneath to replace the previous text description v. only the ammonite is clickable here (it changes into a photograph of an actual shell when the cursor hovers over it) and this takes you into the About Us tab About Us Kept as shown, but with company logos of our teams (potential option for them to be clickable to take you to their websites). Brazil Page No major changes. Investments Page Like Stonehaven’s “Portfolio” tab, we wish to display a number of photos of properties with some information appearing as each photo changes automatically (users can click on a navigation bar to go back, forward or pause). Downloads Page This page serves as location where we have a number (up to 10) clickable download icons. The icons will either look as a document or as a photo, with a description of what documents is behind it. Once clicked, the respective PDF (be it a market research report or a group of photos of a project), will start downloading. Contact Us Page No major changes. Artistic flair is required in improving all existing features of our current website (including the logo), keeping the general theme modern and minimalist. We also need to have a way to upload/change photos and documents to the site ourselves on a weekly basis. We do not need a special “wizard” to do this, but a step-by-step instruction instead. We can access our files via FTP ourselves, so uploading files is not a problem, but making sure that they are displayed correctly. For instance, I remember from previous experience that it is crucial to have the EXACT pixel width/height of pictures correct, otherwise it shifts everything else in the page. So please provide us detailed instruction on “How to upload photos and PDFs...”
