Hi! I didn't grow up with a rare disease but I developed a mental illness in my early 20's so I get it. Do you have anymore of a direction as you would like to go with the story? It kind of makes me think of Fuzzy Was-He. Have you heard of him? It goes: Fuzzy-Was-He was a Bear, Fuzzy-Was-He had no hair, Fuzzy-Was-He wasn't very fuzzy, was he? It's kind of like a bear being made from jeans...being different and not so cuddly. We can work on more details though. I can do digital or traditional mediums. It might be cool to color the pieces with crayon to make it look like a kid did the illustrations. Let me know what you think and I hope we can work together!

Hello, I was just reading through the brief for the book about the teddy bear made of jeans. Let me first say that it is a really good cause, I love the idea you have and would really like to work with you on this, I am new to freelancer so I don't have too much feedback, but people I have worked with have always come back again. I have a good relationship with my customers, it isn't all about grabbing work and then leaving, I would like to illustrate this book with the love it deserves. If you do require my services, I would like to illustrate it in water colour, I find that the classic style is still untouchable when it comes to giving the reader a safe and cosy feeling, I would illustrate this book with warmth so that it comes across to the child.
