The software needs to use a webcam to track the gaze of one eye, and translate this movement to moving the mouse. The webcam being used will be a Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 Webcam and using Windows. The software just needs to track one eye, not both.

Hi. I currently work in a european intelligent ideas research project concerning human computer interaction. I made eye tracking in C++ and C#, and know java very well ( I have hands-on experience with C#,Java for about 4 years ). I have another webcam model but this should work with all webcam models provided their drivers are installed. But, these kind of programs are unstable because of the light variation and the fact that you're using a webcam. Still I can pretty much develop a performant project to track one eye or both. The pitfall comes when translating this movement to the mouse. If you want distances to be perfectly translated into mouse movements onto your favourite display You;ll need to know the depth ( hence 2 webcams needed ) and such. Anyways, if interested, we can talk your erquirements in a more detailed manner. Cheers
