Additonal User Fields in Joomla Signup with validation rule

Looking for a talented Joomla programmer to handle the following issue. I need to add a field to the user signup that will ask the user for there book code. We have a excel list of 1800 codes. The number must be validated against these numbers. And once an account is created with the code it cannot be used again to create another account.
