I need a script that do the following:
User Disk usage
Additionally, when the -d parameter is supplied, show the three users in the system that use the most disk space in their homes. (Note that homes are not necessarily under /home, and they may be different. You can look at /etc/passwd to figure out each user's home). Sort these three users by their disk usage and for each of them show their name, total space usage and home directory.
Some users in /etc/passwd are not "real" users, and may have non-existent homes. You should filter those entries, plus any entry that has a home under /usr, /var, /dev, /proc, /run, or that has / as home. The output of this command should not generate unhandled error messages.
OUTPUT should be like this:
Disk usage:
jane 204816 /users/jane
joe 102420 /home/joe
sync 12584 /sbin
NOTE-
Person new in Linux so the commands should be use are the basics ones such as
sort -k
/etc/issue
/proc/cpuinfo
/proc/meminfo
cat
sed
grep
awk
find
