The project is to build and deliver a machine to automate part of the packaging assembly line of the client's factory. Your task would be to design a control circuit for 4-5 axis of motors, a pump or two, and some safety shutoffs and other necessary machine electronics. Operator interface will be a simple panel of switches/buttons/knobs and possibly a small LCD screen. No fancy digital HMI is needed. PLCs or an IC can be used for this task, and of course, as you'd be the expert, any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I propose a Microchip controller for the control. I have designed several controls like this for a fuel cell control system. I assume that the motor control is a simple On/Off ttype of control, not a variable speed control or BLDC controller which would be more involved. can you give me some details? such as the motor type(stepper ,bldc),the voltage and current for the motor ,what kind of pump(air or water).is the power supper the AC 380V? you'd better give me the layout of the keys/button on the pannel. what should start the motors ,is the button or the sensor or some electrical device in the product line?
