Northern ireland business directory, made for mobiles and desktops using Django.\r\n\r\nBrief project description and overview of project aims:\r\nAs the web advances, there is an increased need for structured and reduced information especially in the business communications sector. The Northern Irish economy relies heavily on sole traders and small businesses that in turn, require an efficient platform for communicating as emerging technologies advance including HTML5 & JavaScript. \r\n\r\nBusinesses could potentially benefit from a platform where users can view business information, deals / discounts and the products on offer. In turn, users can share opinions and feedback about the business and how it is managed. The solution should help the local business connect to a member of the public in a non-intrusive, social manner that ultimately and unanimously benefits both the business and the consumer.\r\n\r\nThis project is aimed at developing such a platform with a web interface and a mobile interface.\r\n\r\nEnvisaged project deliverables:\r\nSoftware prototype, Heroku Hosted\r\n\r\nIndicative hardware and software resources to be utilised within the project: \r\nHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Django (Python 2.7), MySQL\r\n\r\nDescription: this project will use the latest web technologies (Django/Python) to create an NI business directory to meet the needs of customers in the mobile age: mobile, location aware, social\r\n\r\nTasks:\r\n1. Create a database with the following identities: business (shop), business park (shopping centre), customer, administrator; product, service, category of product, category of service.\r\n\r\n2. Create a website like [login to view URL] which has both web and mobile frontends for each type of users: business owner, park owner, customer with different functions for each.\r\na. Business owner: (1) manage the listing of their products/services; (2) respond to user ratings and comments\r\nb. Park owner: (1) manage rules (2) assess businesses\r\nc. Customer: (1) search for products and services by category, distance, user rating (2) search for businesses by category, distance and user rating (3) rate businesses (4) rate products and services (5) display search results on google map or as a list.\r\nd.
