C# New style Entity Framework Code - help me work it out?

I need someone who is an expert on the latest C#/.Net entity framework architecture. My boss gave me some code and I need to work out what it does and how and then I need to mimic that in some new code I have to write. I have used the Entity Framework before but the code he gave me looks nothing like that - he said it is a new type of entity framework (I think .Net 4.5 and it has a funny name but I cannot remember what the name is) I need someone to help me work out what the current code does and help me to base my new code on that - and provide me with some links to help me produce such code. For someone who has already used code like this I expect this to take an hour or so because I am pretty good with C# and .Net so once I am pointed in the right direction I can take it from there.
