Onuma, Inc. is looking for a programmer or a team of programmers to work on their already existing Revit Add-on/Plugin (.Net). This plugin is used to export and import spatial and non-spatial data from building models in Revit to and from an XML file. The xml schema is available at [login to view URL]
The project is pretty much open ended depending on the quality of the collaboration and the work delivered. The intent is to add features to the Plugin over time. Currently, the time commitment will probably be in the range of 80 to 120 man-hours per month. Sometimes the development will require pretty quick response times. At other times, we will need time for testing to return detailed bug reports back to the programmer(s).
The following skills are absolute requirements for anybody to bid on this project:
1) High degree of familiarity of the Revit API up to and including Revit Architecture 2012. Please let us know exactly on how many projects involving this API you have worked on prior. Either providing us with references from projects developing Revit Plugins and/or actual Revit Plugins that you developed is a must.
2) Good English communication skills! We've had good programmers from various parts of the globe before but we couldn't communicate the tasks and issues well enough. All programmers working on this project will have to be able to discuss issues in very well understandable English. Before we even start the project, we will discuss issues and first tasks with the persons who will work on the programming. We will immediately drop the project if we can't communicate our ideas with ease.
Please don't waste your and our time if you don't fulfill these two basic requirements.
Knowledge of REST and/or SOAP web service exchanges would be good for this project since we will expand the Revit Plugin to communicate with the online models through these web service protocols.
