ASP.NET - Import/Export Component(repost)

Create an ASP.NET component, preferably in VB.NET, that will enable my application to more easily import and export data. Note: I use the term "provider" in a generic fashion - not necessarily in the design-pattern sense (see #1). Requirements: 1) Must be extensible to enable 3rd parties to develop custom import and export routines via a provider or plugin-type model. Note: [login to view URL] cannot be used, as in typical provider model scenarios. 2) Create two import/export providers: XML and CSV. These should be capable of importing/exporting text, numeric, date, and HTML/XML type data. Providers should also be able to import/export non-English characters (UTF-8). 3) Component should provide a UserControl or Server Control, making it easy to plug functionality into an ASCX page. 4) Host app. will be using ASCX files, so solution shouldn't assume any ASPX-specific features. 5) Component must be robust to handle IO errors gracefully. This component will need to be integrated into my application. The easier it is for me to do this, the better. Thus, I'm open to any and all suggestions for architecture and how we should handle the integration tasks. Additionally, you should consider high-volume import/export scenarios and how to accommodate these efficiently. This may include providing some sort of rollback or a re-start feature that can start from the last "good" import/export record. I anticipate needing to discuss the details and ideas with you so please ask questions and help me help you create a robust, flexible solution. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform ASP.NET VB.NET UI: Internet Explorer 5.5+ (Windows); W3C DOM broswers (Windows and Mac).
