I have a small database for which I would like to provide data access through a web browser. This is currently for data retreival only. I will generate a future RAC request for modifications to perform data entry.
I am at the prototyping stage, so I'm looking for
a simple 3 or four page site, but it needs to look professional
because my customer will be reviewing.
I would like to have the application developed using ASP or asp.net (vb.net). I'm seeking someone to do the front-end interface/coding. The backend is SQL Server 2005. I will manage all of the data issues in SQL Server, including table design, views and any modification that you recommend based on coding needs. FYI - The consolidated view contains 15 fields.
Coder should have a good sense of interface design and web programming, and should use generally standard application design methods.
I have designed a draft of the interface, however for privacy reasons, I am not providing data samples, rather I'm relying on my RAC feedback as an indicator that I'm providing the necessary scope and details for you to determine how much work will be involved and how much to bid.
The application will provide:
1) Start page (Home page) with username / password login. Successful login provides additional data about the person from table (name, title).
2) Web page containing drop lists (approx. 3-4) that allow the user to create/narrow a result set on same or subsequent webpage.
3) Link to detail page for each row in the resultset.
4) Icon for PDF file which opens PDF file (support document for that record).
5) Basic menus, allowing the user to navigate back to home page
6) Adjustments for "Printable pages"
7) Will provide basic instructions/assistance with making available on my test site. I will work with hosting site if tech support is neeeded, etc.
Coder agrees to address all of the 7 items on the checklist.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
