This is for an under-development e-commerce web site. Please view this link to see the home page (under development) [url removed, login to view]
I will need 4 things for this site:
1. The keyword search feature (you can see at the top)
2. A database of products which will be pulled up using the menu on the left.
3. A shopping cart feature which you see also on the left. This feature needs to update as the shopper adds things to the cart. Also, a checkout feature to go with the shopping cart.
4. An administration page so that the client can edit, add and delete products from inventory.
For an example of how the results (of a search) page will look, please see the page: [url removed, login to view]
This site already has hosting set up that is .net ready. This must be built in .net please.
We will be filling the site with fake inventory, then allowing the client to add and update all of his products via the administration feature.
The timeline is approximately one month. It must be done by the end of June, but ideally I would like to have it done asap.
I also want to address a few questions that have come through since yesterday:
1. The back-end database server is MySQL, but the site is hosted by [url removed, login to view] and they also support other types.
2. I am planning on this being a one-time only development for this site. However, I have other e-comm sites on the horizon and am open to the idea of having it be a template that can be used for other sites as well, I am open to suggestions.
3. Lastly, the order processing would not need to go through a typical processor, such as verisign, at this point. I would just need an order email to be generated (encrypted) to the client, who would then process and fill the orders manually.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) All 4 elements must be "live" online and working correctly.
3) One week for testing of the code will be allowed after code work is finished in order to resolve any kinks which may arise (as they usually do). 4) Once the week for testing is finished, if all kinks have been ironed out and the site is fully functioning, the job will be complete. 3)All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
This will need to function successfully on all Windows platforms 95 through current XP. It will also need to function on Mac platforms (I will be testing on both) as well as Internet Explorer, Netscape and Linux.
