I need a simple program written in Borland C/C++ builder 6 to provide a graphic of a 2 line X 16 character alphanumeric LCD display. The graphic version on the form should look similar to that above. Also, simulation of a backlight should be provided.
I need the following functions to be written to allow maipulation of what is on the display.
void LCD_Clear( void ); // This clears any text on the display and resets the current position to 0,0. ( first line, first char )
void LCD_Off( void ); // This clears any text and turns off the backlight
void LCD_On( void ); // This turns the LCD on to accept other commands. Note that this does not turn on the backlight. Current position to be set to (0,0).
void LCD_BacklightOn( void ) // This turns the backlight on
void LCD_BacklightOff( void ) // This turns the backlight off
void LCD_Print( char* string ); // This prints characters to the current x,y position
void LCD_PrintLine( char* string, int Line ); // This clears the line and prints the string to the line ( Line = 0 first line, Line = 1 second line )
void LCD_ClearLine( int Line ); // Clear the line in question
void LCD_GotoXY( int X, int Y ); // move current writing position to X,Y
Note that I do NOT want cursor simulation. A cursor is not required.
I need some buttons on the form calling the above functions to demonstrate functionality.
The font to be used for the display is attached. The font has equal width for all characters.
All bids will be considered carefully, with possibilities for further work in Borland applications and in embedded programming, particularly in C programming on a dsPIC microcontroller.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
