The project is very simple.
I want the same functionality that the Tom Bishop's ProxyHeaderRewrite, but of the latest apache version which is 2.0.52
The original patch is for an version 1.3.12
The patch is available <[login to view URL]> and attached to this request.
The purpose of this patch was to add some custom header to the proxied connection ( values based on server variable ).
There are perhaps other way to achive the result, hovever I need the same implementation that the previous patch, for compatibility with the 1.3.12 and 2.0 configuration options.
I can provided acess to a Intel Solaris, to make sure that the patch can compile.
See the attached file for the description of the functionality
Configuration example :
# tell upstream server the ip of the request
ProxyHeaderRewrite append X-Forwarded-For "%{REMOTE_ADDR}"
# tell upstream server info on SSL status
<VirtualHost _default_:443>
SSLOptions StdEnvVars
ProxyHeaderRewrite append X-SSL-Cipher "%{ENV:SSL_PROTOCOL} %{ENV:SSL_CIPHER}"
</VirtualHost>
# tell upstream server the virtual host used
ProxyHeaderRewrite append X-Frontend-Host "%{HTTP:Host}"
