I have several features that i would like to add to my Access database, mainly with items requiring VBA programming.
1)Through a standard data-entry From (form name is radar), I have a control named SECTOR that is set up as a list box with a drop-down list of 10 options. Another List Box, called SUB_SECTORS, needs to update from the option selected in the SECTOR List Box. The SECTOR row source is set to the names of the options. There is a separate table (Sub Sector) listing the sectors as field names with the sub sector names list in the respective column. I created this thinking that it could be queried. (think of sector/subsector like state/county, if California is selected from one list box then San Francisco, Los Angles, etc. will be displayed as options in another list box)
2)I need to link a file, such as adobe or word doc, to each company in the database. I think that an OLE needs to be used to make it happen. I want to click on a link or a toggle button that launches the company file store on the network drive. Can you create a box that where files can be browsed and selected.
3) There are 2 tables, one for FundA and one for FundB, I need each company in the main Table (Radar) to sync with both Tables.
3a)Then information in the FundA and FundB Tables needs to be added to the top area of Form RADAR
4) Another form needs to be created that runs Dsum to give a tally of each different type of company status
4a) Another form needs to be created, or added to the one above, that runs Dsum to give a tally of the number of companies in each state, and the same for region
