This will be an automated website for a window washing company. The customers will create an account and then enter the number and size of the windows they need washed. The software will automatically generate a quote based on the information given. If the customer agrees to this price, they will be asked to enter credit card details, but not billed at this point. Then the website will send a message to an available windows washing contractors Iphone or Android via an app. The contractor will be given the details of the job and asked to confirm acceptance. If they say, 'yes' then the job will be allocated to that contractor. If they don't accept the job (eg. they are not available at that time), the website will then pass the job to the next contractor on the list, and so on.
When the contractor has completed the job, they use the app to communicate this back to the website, along with the number of hours taken.
The website will then process the customer's credit card and email them a receipt.
The website will store this job in a database. If the hours worked are more or less than initially anticipated on the quote, then the value of the job will be changed accordingly for the next time.
Customers can choose whether it is a one-off or a recurring task.
The purpose of this website will be to do much of the work of a receptionist because this business won't have one.
The website home page will have some photos and an address and phone number and a brief explanation of the process I have just detailed above.
Every aspect of the website needs to appear professional and very user friendly.
There should be an administrator login where the prices can be set, both for the hourly pay rate of contractors, and the profit margin for the jobs.
There will need to be a database to store this information so the income and expenses can be easily seen.
Please use a common programming language in case the website needs to be altered in the future.
