Configurable Info Ticker

A basic, but configurable Java applet that acts as an information ticker. I'm not sure how to do this so I would like some sample Java. I want the following things: a) It takes the information list from parameters in HTML. b) It can run horizontally or vertically dependant on a parameter in HTML (including varying speeds). c) If you hover your mouse of a article header it will stop and highlight like a web link (href is in HTML param). d) The background can either be coloured or an image can be loaded on the web server (using params to determine which and where). e) Applet can be of varying size.
