We have a remote camera system (dvr) that you can access over the internet via internet explorer.
In order to view the system you must install an active x file on the pc wanting to view them. We have this active x file in an .exe installer so it can simply be clicked and it will start the install process ??" simple!
But guess what… a large percentage are not installing the .exe driver so are having problems viewing the system.
Is there a way we can use some JavaScript that we can put before the viewing page to detect if they have the active x file installed on the system before viewing, then if yes it will redirect them to say /[login to view URL] and if not it will redirect to /[login to view URL]
