Answer Mechanism of a Survey System

This is a sub-project of a project to develop a complete survey system. This part takes care of the answer mechanism. A survey is composed of items of three classes: instruction, page-break and question. * instruction is just a text displayed on the screen. * page-break divides the pages. For example, if a page-break takes place at 10th position, questions/instructions from 1st to 9th position are displayed at same time on the screen. * question is an element that requires an answer. There are types of questions: * single choice (radio buttons) * multiple choice (checkbox buttons) * satisfaction index (rating from 1 to 10) * short text (text field) * long text (text area) Any question can be hidden or shown depending on the previous anwers. For example, you can setup a dependency in question 2 to make it hidden when question 1 is answered as Adidas: Question 1: What brand do you prefer? a) Adidas b) Nike Question 2: What do you think about Nike? a) It's a big company present in several countries. b) It's a company based in the United States. This part must interface with other parts already working. It needs be developed using php5.3, mysql 5.1, html, javascript, jquery, ajax, xml and, perhaps, xslt. It's required that you have great skills in OOP within PHP and be familiar with the DAO pattern. You don't need take care of back-end classes because they are already being developed by a local team.
