Image management system

Create an image management system with PHP and MySQL for a web site. The system will have the facility for a person to upload three different galleries of images. One gallery is the "avatar" image of users for the service. This gallery will allow people to upload one or more avatar images and to make one of these images the "active" image. These images will be 50x50 pixels in size and in jpg format. A second gallery will enable a user to upload some "brand" images. The web site is a market place where different businesses can sell their products and each of these businesses advertising within the site will be able to upload three images that are their branding images (as with eBay for instance). These images are logos, but of different dimensions. Image sizes 145x175 pixels, 270x115 pixels, and 500x200 pixels in .jpg format. A third gallery will be for product images that are uploaded to the site, and which correspond with particular products. The product images will all be .jpg format and will be 290x350 pixels When a user uploads an image the image may be in .png or .gif or .jpg format, but all the images will be transformed and saved as .jpg format on the server. The user will have he option, when they upload an image, to select a portion of an image, crop the image, and save the resulting image as a new image. Files will be uploaded to a web site running PHP, and when the images are saved on the server the image details will be saved in a MySQL database with an "insert" SQL statement or an "update" statement.
