Add blur effect, require login to see all answers on Q&A site.

We have a question and answer site written with php/mysql/javascript, and want to add an effect to it so that when a viewer is not logged in, only the first answer is visible, and the rest have a blurring effect prompting the user to log in to see the rest of the answers. Also, when they do login (using fb/google/email), we want to prompt the user to give us some of their interests.
Many other sites already do this, one example is quora.com. Here's a random page from quora to see the effect that we want our site to do too [url removed, login to view]
Our site has been around for years, and has undergone a lot of updates over time. Please understand that you will perhaps have to muck through a lot of existing code to understand/work on this. I am available pretty regularly throughout the day to give feedback/help try to understand what is going on. Please let me know if you are comfortable using voice skype, possibly with screen-sharing to communicate. Sometimes it's the easiest way to get a point across that just doesn't come through when typing. We hope to have this project completed within about a week (or less), please don't apply if you can't dedicate a decent amount of time to it quickly. We pay 100% for a complete job.
