I have a UK based ecomms site running CRE Loaded 6.2 B2B, it's had quite a number of mods and addons added over the past two or three years, so much so I'd struggle to tell you them all, but what I've not decided we want it to do is do some VAT calculations for us, I'll give you what it does now then what I'd like it to do if that's good for you, I should just mention as well a lot of this is because we are a VAT registered business and looking to up scale the volume of sales, at the moment I don't bother running any tax rules at all, everything as far as CRE is concerned is classed as non-taxable and everything to the outside customer as including VAT at 17.5%, we don't provide VAT invoices as automated by CRE and we as most of our customers are not likely to be VAT registered this method sort of suits us, but as we are likely to take on more trade customers and as I have just purchased the vTiger - CRE Integration from Magnetic One I'd decided now is the time to also get the VAT thing sorted out on CRE, it may as well work it all out as it'll make things a lot nicer when importing customers from CRE to vTiger, I plan on using vTiger more and more for invoicing etc. where as at the moment we just use CRE and manually create a VAT invoice for any that
do need it.... Ok I've waffled on a fair but now! Here is what CRE does now and what I'd like it to do:
What is does now:
Shows all prices to the end customer with no tax settings
We have a note at the footer along the lines of... All prices include VAT at 17.5% blah blah....
No taxes are shown at checkout as there are none set
What I'd like it to do:
Show all prices to end customer including VAT in shop
Possibly show prices both including and excluding VAT at the same time in main shop (not sure on this one?)
Make sure VAT is added to both the main product and any product attributes (I'm struggling with this)
At checkout show all prices including VAT inc. products, delivery, discount vouchers, anything.
Make sure the vouchers don't complicate VAT, so if it's £10 off voucher that's £10 off the final price including VAT
In the viewable invoice to the customer make this a genuine VAT invoice showing prices ex VAT, VAT amount, total amount
Make sure all these VAT settings and anything else are passed to the payment processor which is either SagePay or PayPal
Now I've probably missed some bits out above that I'll remember down the line, but for now that's the lot, I've had a look myself, I can sort of get the VAT thing working for EU countries, doesn't seem to work on product attributes though, also seem to recall I got rid of the inc. and ex. VAT things on the customer viewable invoice (the one you see in account history) as we'd decided not to use it at the time, so these need bringing back.
I look forward to your bids! If anyone would prefer to speak to me direct they are welcome to contact me for my MSN address to have a chat before you begin work.
I have working experience and deep knowledge on many CMS in PHP, but I've not worked on CRE before. So I can start work on it and apply all of my efforts on it. If you cooperate with me, I think we can do it.
